Dear Torsten
I think whenever you have a purpose and you try for that, you are a winner.the importance is that you don't give up even if you don't get a good result. it is necessary to be optimistic and to work every day. it is better not to be afraid of our failure and try once more whenever we do some thing wrong. it is not just for learning English, but for every thing in our lives.
as long as I study for English and I try to be perfect in it, I think I am a winner.
thanks for all you did for these lessons

Dear Torsten,

in my opinion I'm not a winner. Therefore I practice English as often as possible.
I'm still in an English course of our company which comes to the end in May '09.
Additional I started to learn vocabulary of "insider English" and will get tested in August '09. But this wasn't enough for me. Therefore I joined "English-test.net" as the grammar is still not as good as I want it.

I'm sure that your method will help me to improve.

Many thanks!!

Best regards,
Helene

Hi,
I guessed I am a winner because I can speak, read and write English very well. But of course like everybody here in the forum, I still would like to polish and enhance my English, specifically in writing. :)

To be honest I don't know whether I am a winner or not, but I have been learning english for ages and still I haven't got confidence, it proves that learning English is not an easy idea it needs a time and efforts but one day I hope to be a WINNER.

Dear Torsten
I don't know exactly how a winner is but I think that when we have a goal, try my best and successed in getting it, we are the winner. As for me, I have been learning English for a long time but I think it is not very good. I have no opportunity to speak English as much as I need. I only study it through doing grammar exercise and listening something from the Internet or television. I wish I could have some friends who speak English as their native language to talk everyday. :))
Now I am preparing for the Toeic exam that I will attend in July. I hope I will be winner by having a good result in that goal.
Thank you for reading.

Hi!
I might be winner later because I don't stop studying. I try to follow the coach's advice like changing and controling my habits. I notice little improvement in my english but it's very slow.
Thanks!

Dear Torsten,
This is a very good topic to talk about inorder to let the learner knows his/her position in learning English.
I am sure the majority will benifit from that topic.
About me,I think that from the day I have started learning English I am a winner. In fact, the process of learning something is in itself a win. Therefore, every single word or rule I learn it means that I win it.

Thank you,
Otmane.

Hi!

I can't say that I'm winner. In my opinion to be a winner means I don't need to study anymore.Sommetimes I have hard time to understand the news on the BBC and I can't speak fluently. I study all the time. I'm not winner yet.
