Do you agree or disagree that people should sometimes do things that they do not enjoy doing?

Although all people are willing to do only what they enjoy, people ironically spend more time on doing what they do not enjoy when it comes to the reality. Reality is the place where we should take some action even though we can not enjoy or even suffer from doing that for many reasons. Therefore, I agree that people should sometimes do things that they do not enjoy doing because it is sometimes necessary for achieving purposes and we can learn a sense of responsibility and patience.

First of all, it is sometimes necessary for achieving our purposes. A lot of people admit the fact that we should overcome all the difficulties and hardships in order to success. Like this sense, everyone need a kind of sacrifice in order to gain something valuable and necessary. For example, students who always get high scores on the test do not only study subjects they are interested in. Since their final goal is to get high scores on all subjects, they endure studying subjects in which they never find any interest. By studying subjects which they do not enjoy, they can gain high scores and achieve their final goal which can be even more valuable.

Secondly, we can learn a sense of responsibility and patience by doing something we do not enjoy. It is evident that we can never live without doing any kinds of things that we do not enjoy. If we can never avoid of doing what we do not enjoy, it is the best way to learn how to do unenjoyable works. Otherwise, we become very irresponsible and impatient people. For example, I have a friend who is only willing to do interesting and enjoyable works. Whenever I and other friends work out some school projects with her as a team member, all of us just can not stand with her irresponsibility and impatience. She skips a few meeting because she just wants to do more exciting and interesting activities rather than struggling with difficult and complicated project. Moreover, she never does her part of works, making other members take all the burdens instead of her.

In conclusion, I strongly believe we should sometimes do things that we do not enjoy because it is definitely necessary for achieving some goals and teaches us a sense of responsibility and patience. If we choose to do only things that we enjoy, then we would face a lot of difficulties in producing satisfying works. More seriously, irresponsibility and patience caused by not doing any necessary works which is not enjoyable can even harm other people as I mentioned above.
