I tried to edit one of my own posts just now, to fix a typo, and when I tried to submit it, I got a message that said, "Sorry, you can't edit this post."

Why not?

This must be something new, because I used to edit my posts days or even weeks after putting them up.

After all, people don't spend their day revisiting and admiring their own posts, so it makes no sense to limit people to 24 hours.

Hi Administrators..

Do you have any guidelines to edit or delete our earlier posts..?

Today when I try to edit one of my earlier posts, the editing window opened and after editing when I clicked the 'send message' button there was a message " sorry! but you can not edit this post.." Why this happens..?

Can you tell me how to edit or delete our posts..it will help us to correct the mistakes (add/delete some information) in our posts.

Waiting your guidance.

Dear Torsten..

What Jamie (K) raised is, I hope, the same question most of us would like to ask you Mr. Tosrten. Because sometimes we need to add or delete the after-thoughts in our posts. So please provide a simple way to edit our earlier posts.

I think even under the intellectual properties the posts we write are the assets of the owners of the posts. Am I right..?

Hi Sahid,

As I explained earlier we have put a time limit on how long forum users can edit their posts. If you want to add some after thoughts you can do so by posting a new message.

Regards,
Torsten

Why can't we edit our own posts? #14 (permalink) Fri Jan 30, 2009 21:27 pm   Why can't we edit our own posts?

Dear Slava,

How are you there...I am very thankful to you for your kindness in providing me with the editing option for my earlier posts.

But may be I could have misunderstood that this is for all the members of the forum because when I shared this information with others, some of them mailed me that they can not edit their earlier posts.

So please let me know if this editing option is only for limited members or for all of us....?

Waiting your sooner reply to respond to my friends..

Thanks and regards,
