about TOEIC #140 (permalink) Sun Aug 09, 2009 0:10 am   about TOEIC

Hello,

It was very difficult to me answer the reponses (1,2,3) They have many expressions unknown for me.

For example what is the meaning of what on earth for? You are up to it. Bite his hand off. I have a little meaning of them but I want to know more about these expressions.

Thanks in advance.

Mr. Torsten

I have a question regarding TOEIC part-I question#.

http://www.english-test.net/toeic/listening/motorboats.html

as per my observation question#3. (All the motorboats are clearly visible.)should be correct but system shows that question#4.(You can only see four boats clearly)

Question arises that as per picture all the boats are motorboats that means (a fast boat which is powered by an engine) whereas a simple boat means (a small vehicle for travelling on water) and as per pictures all boats are motorboats and big in size

please explain why this statment is correct(You can only see four boats clearly)

I am really confused

Hi Misskahn,

As for me, I can only see four boats clearly. How many boats do you see clearly?

Thank you,
Torsten

It was designed very well but i agree with my friend, the choices are a bit confused and also it can be increased the level. I guess the Toeic listening is not easy as much as these questions. Anyway this is really good idea to improve listening skills. I thank to everybody who helped to prepare this study.
