Best practise. #275 (permalink) Sat Feb 13, 2010 23:59 pm   Best practise.

Dear Torsten,

What is the best way to complete the exercise? I'm doing TOEIC Listening exercise. How many exercise do I need to have in a day? If it is, how long can I complete all the exercises? Is there any repeated exercise practise. I heard to get a better result someone must repeat the same exercise for at least 30 times. Is that so?

I hope to hear from you soon.

Hello Torsten.

I've done some of the exercises and found that it was a great programme for a new beginner like me. I'd like to give some suggestions. When we are at the listening exercise by looking at the photograph, the cursor pointing to the photograph shows the name of the topic. It is much better if it could name some of the things in the photograph as well. So we can enhance our vocabulary. Hope you understand my situation. Thank you.

Hello Torsten,
I attempted almost the listening exercise with phote, the result was some how fair according to the progressive report and this indicates that if i put much effort i will get improvement in english. These exercises were not so hard except some new words and accent of which i was not used to.
Thank you.

Simple and easy. #281 (permalink) Sun Feb 14, 2010 4:48 am   Simple and easy.

Dear Torsten,

I'm aggreed with Mr. Ndora saying that the exercises are quite easy especially for an adult. Can you suggest what are the topic that suitable since I can almost answer those question in my exercises (Listening Exercises Part 1 - Part 9) except some few words and ascent which I was not familiar with. Can I skip the next exercises and pick up those exercises that I feel a little bit tougher?

Hello Torsten,

according to the correct answer to question n.3 in test n.3 of TOEIC Listening 2 PART III 'Two co-workers breef each other', it seems that the man and the woman are going to 'Drink a toast' but, listening to the dialogue, it looks like they want to hire new people. Is that right or did I miss something? In Italy we usually... eat toast, but who knows, elsewhere in the world there might be different habits!

Thank you.
Bye

Hi Alessandro,

If you listen to the conversation again, at end you will hear the phrase "But anyway... cheers!" which indicates that a toast is about to be brought about.
