Day 3 #286 (permalink) Thu Feb 18, 2010 16:21 pm   Day 3

Hello everybody,

Today is my 3rd day without failing doing audio and listening exercises. I'm very grateful I actually have found the free e-mail course that can give me some motivation in order for me to keep my spirit to learn English. I try to make it to 30 consecutive days as what Mr Torten advice in the 30/30 goals. Hope friends overthere will do the same. See you.

Dear Teacher,

TOEIC listening test is very useful for those who learn English language, basically, I can diarily practise to listen to it and hear the people's accent to be pronounced. So it'll make me better to catch the understanding the word's accent of a person.
Many thanks to the forum that has broadly produced it for people learning English a round the world.

Thanks

ListeningExercises #291 (permalink) Tue Mar 09, 2010 11:27 am   ListeningExercises

Dear Sir
We are facing some problems in the listening exercises.
1) It is taking long time to downloading MP3 (after Buffering)
2)very often the webbage has been expired.
3)pronounnce and accent some it is not clear.
What I feel this seems to be observation exercise, by looking
the picture and the text we can answer easily. Hearing Mp3 and answer the
exercise is not so easy. It is my opinion.

Thank you

Since they are conversations, it's better there are two speakers involved rather than the same person playing two roles

Hello Torsten,
I tried out some of the listening exercises for TOEIC. Everything worked out fine and I really enjoy doing them. I made some notes, especially for prepositions since that is my weakest part of English grammar. In my opinion, the speaker speaks very clearly and slowly. So it wasn't difficult for me to answer.
I also wonder if we can get more speaking excercises:}.
Thank you!

TOEIC Test listening #299 (permalink) Tue Mar 16, 2010 3:53 am   TOEIC Test listening

Dear Torten,

I have been doing a lot of TOEIC exercises, as I notice it is very good way that make me comphrehensive and to be aware of rules to use the English structures, phrase, preposition and vocabulary, particulary pronunciation and accent. When I was listening to audio, I kept my both eyes on the pictures with a beoutiful color at the same time. First, I's difficult to get the spokeman's audio, sometime because of accent but I could try it many times and every day so that I understand what 's spoken in audio. Some vocabularies and phrases I don't understand, though it never mind to me it has explanation and difinition from the forum and TOEIC dictionary.
I'm very in favor of the forum's process.

Thanks

Dear Sir,
Thank you for your TOEIC listening exercises, which I finished now after spending long
time.I would like to share my view regarding this exercise. I found most of the exerecises were easy and some of the exercises were very tough to attend.
Secondly to attend this exercise three thing to be followed, which I realized by
my expereince. i.e.. 1.Listening 2. concentration 3. Memory
Listening: We should listen the Audio/see text properly
Concentration means, by attending this exercise, our concentration should not
get diverted by watching T V ,attending phone calls and talking to other persons
this will lead to make wrong answers.
Memory: what we decided to answer shout not get changed at the time of answer.
If we follow the same we can answer easily. I have done several mistakes due to
carelessness.

I could learn some new words through this exercise, which I never used before and quiz
also made me impressed. All Photographs are very nice.

Mr Tortsen Sir has emphaized in many lessons that listening is logic of learning English,
But I couldn't follow it ,due to lack of understanding your pronounce and accent.
I would like to thank Mr Alan Sir who has given very good explanation for pronounce which I never learnt before.I request Mr Alan Sir to write one more essay like Ever Green" it should be simple and easy(IInd language English people like me.

My kind request sir you can also try to talk like Indian English so that we can understand easily.

Because of your sincere efforts and encourgement only made me to write like this sir.

My Sincere thanks to all of you

Yours truly
