Dear Sir
Just now I have completed TOEIC Listening Exercises. I really enjoyed like anything. I don't know how to convey my gratitude to Sir Torsten, this time only I enjoyed Aidio File (listening) by seeing the picture. When I attended these exercises earlier I felt difficult to understand their accent and I used to see text and it would take time to complete one exercise.
My kind advice to learners, TOEIC Listening Exercise only you can enjoy listening, seeing the picture it will improve your eye vision, and you can see text also. Shortly say you can enjoy three in one i.e. listening, vision, and reading.
I have been using your English-test-net for a long time, due to this my English knowledge and interest to detail has grown. The greatest thing about this test-net I have learned how to speak and write in english to maximum level through your exercises, lessons, and essays.
It has helped me in so many situation when I talk with my friends, his friends without shyness and fear. What I want is I want everyone to use this English-test and make benefit of English. I am very grateful to all of you sir.
Thank you

Hi. Thank you always, for your nice exercises. They help me a lot.
By the way, are these really "giant pineapples" ? I've never seen such big pineapples, and I can't find them on the internet.
One thing more, what "the deep south" means?
I am very curious about this picture. |

Hello,
I managed to hear the speaker in the audio player remarked only “that’s a good idea” without the preceding word “Yes”, which is printed in the transcript. Could you please double-check this difference?
Here is an excerpted transcript:
Listening Comprehension Transcript — I just feel exhausted lately, like I can't get enough sleep. And I seem to have a constant headache. How about you? — I fell and hurt my wrist a couple of days ago. I thought it was just a sprain, but it still throbs and it hurts when I use the keyboard, so I thought I'd better get it checked out. — Yes, that's a good idea. You can't be too careful when it comes to your health.

Hello Crazycats,
I'd say that the person who put that test together misinterpreted the picture. What looks something like a pineapple is just where the leaves have been hacked through. I don't believe there is a correct answer to that question available there and will flag it up.

As usual, Bhikku, you are correct. It doesn't make any difference to the meaning of the sentence. The 'yes' emphasises the confirmation that it is a good idea. Thanks for pointing it out. _________________ Cheers m' dears! |

Thanks a lot for pointing this out. I've changed the transcript accordingly.

Hello,
There is a glitch towards the end of the conversation in the audio player. The audio player only recorded the front parts of the first sentence, leaving out the rest as well as the second sentence that followed it. Could you please look into this matter? Here are the two sentences excerpted from the transcript:
Listening Comprehension Transcript — OK, hold tight and I'll get somebody there as soon as possible. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Hello Bhikku.
I've just tried that and it plays all the way through, including the words, '...there as soon as possible. Sorry for the inconvenience.'
I think it might have been a hitch with your internet connection. Could you please try again? Thanks. _________________ Cheers m' dears! |

Hello,
An omission has been found in the sentence of the transcript. A personal pronoun “I” is left out in the subordinate clause of the bold sentence. Could you please look into this matter?
Here is the bold sentence excerpted from the transcript:
Listening Comprehension Transcript
— Hello, I need to make a service appointment for my 2006 Toyashi Camelot. It doesn't shift smoothly. When shift from second to drive, the engine stalls for a minute before it kicks in.

Hello,
There are two mistakes in the sentence of the transcript. First, it should read “partly the economy” instead of “the partly economy”. Second, the comma is unnecessary because the subordinate clause has two subject complements—“ partly the economy” and “partly because we had some turnover at the start of the year”. Could you please look into these problems?
Here is the sentence excerpted from the transcript:
Listening Comprehension Transcript
— I think it's the partly economy, and partly because we had some turnover at the start of the year.

Hi, Every one. One of toeic listening questions seems to be wrong. Here is the link :http://www.english-test.net/toeic/listening/a_women_in_an_office.html. The correct answer is "there are no pictures on the wall". Best regards. |
