Hi Rachel,
I read you teach American accent. It can be very interesting. I'm from Hungary and my name is Eva. I'm 33 years old and married, I haven' t got children yet. I'm originally primary school teacher and german teacher. But at the moment I'm working at a German firm as a disponent. I learned English for many years but for a couple of years I had no time for it, but I'd like to improve it again. Could you help me with this work?
Please write me soon!
Bye
Eva

Hi Rachel,
Was brauchst Du dazu? Mein Mann sagte, wir haben es, aber ich habe es noch nie probiert. (The same in English, can you please correct it?)
Wenn you learned in Germany, you could practise the pronunciation and the Understanding. How long were you there? Unfortunatelly, I have never had in Engish the possibility to speak. Studying only from Textbooks 100-1000 words in a short time and you have never the possibility, to pronounce them. You have never heard it from a native speaker and then comes the next 100 words and you know neither the foregoing words. We 'll have skype. What do you need for it? My husband said, we have it, but I have never try it yet.

Take care! Write me soon!

Eva:

Here is the text, corrected:
When you studied in Germany, you could practise the pronunciation and speaking (I know speaking isn't a direct translation, but we wouldn't say understanding or knowledge in this context. "and vocabulary" would be another possibility). How long were you there? Unfortunately, I have never had the possibility to speak in English. We only study from Textbooks 100-1000 words in a short time, and you have never the possibility (no comma) to pronounce them. You have never heard it from a native speaker and then comes the next 100 words and you (hmm, one possibility here is:) don't yet know the words you just learned . We 'll have skype. What do you need for it? My husband said, we have it, but I have not tried it yet.

Ja, skype ist wunderbar. Man braucht ein gutes Internet, und einen Computer mit Mikrophon. Aber besser ist, wenn man eine Videokamera hat. Dann es ist kostenlos zu sprechen!

Hi Rachel,
Thank you very much for your correcting. You can correct only the sentences, that contains a lot of mistakes. It might be than boring. I have noticed, I make a lot of mistakes also if I know how you should write it (grammatically and spelling mistakes), but I don' t feel confident and I'm not enough careful. By speaking it will be firstly miserable as for many years in Germany. As german teacher I remember we were in Germany with my high-school classmates and they said such simple sentences in german incorrect, that it was a catastrophe and they were good in the class, but we had spoken only with the hungarian teacher. Also my English wasn't always so. I'm in the latest time a little angry, because of my job and housework I had no time for English. I studied in Germany, I had something to work and the cooking and the housework and my husband ( I had to teach him German) were there. For now I became impatient, I would like to speak and write so good as I had done it for 10-15 years. I would like to know everything so fast if is possible. I have been practising German for 20 years, I know it was a lot of work to remember so much words and grammatic, in English again I'll not have so much time for it. My mother was here for 6 days (she lives 300 km from us). She wanted to be with me, you had again no time, than always comes something up, we have a lot of friends, they would like to be with you and we are much time by Attilas parents. We were a few days at the other end of the country, because we would like to have a baby, we needed medically help, because I'm already 34 years old. Unfortunately the best doctor is 470 km from us. It seems, I'm pregnant in 2 weeks we had to go back to US examination, so I'm 2 weeks at home, because my biol overy became bigger. How are you? How do you work? Are you in a school? We have to ask how many hours difference there are beetween New York and Hungary. We have to speak about a time, when we can call each other.

Take care
Bye
