Hi everyone,

I have confusion about below sentence:Given your outstanding performance in fiscal 08, we are excited to offer you 2 workshops which are designed to improve your customer relationships by working on your communication & persuasion skills in your level.

The main confused parts for me is:
1.Given your outstanding performance
2.by working on your communication & persuasion skills in your level.

Thank you for your explaination. :D

Hi Ligichao,

1) I don't think that there is something wrong with the expression:
'Given your outstanding performance'.
It can also be rephrased as:
'Considering your outstanding performance'

2) The second part is somewhat confusing and you need to revisit the
purpose of the sentence to get it rectified:
'by working on your communication & persuasion skills in your level.'
Use 'in your level' only if you want the sentence to mean something like this:
'by working on your communication & persuasion skills in your level to help
you progress to the next level.'
Otherwise the 'in your level' is unnecessary here.

3) Few more mistakes in your post that may need your attention:
The main confused parts for me are
And
Thank you for your explanation.
Also
It should be 'I have a confusion about the sentence below' instead of
'I have confusion about below sentence'

"I have a confusion about" should be "I'm confused about..."

"Given your outstanding performance" means "Based on your outstanding performance".

Or, to make this a bit easier to understand, the whole thing could be re-written as:

Your fiscal '08 performance was outstanding so we are offering two workshops designed to..."
