one day, a friend of mine ask me how's your day been?
i didn't understand so i just replied: Good

actually, what does it mean?

He was asking, "What kind of day has this been for you? Good? Bad? Mediocre?" etc.

Except for the fact that Josh uses no capitalization, the sentence is correct.
