"I feel as I should go"
"I feel that I should go"

I have been told that the first sentence is wrongly worded and that only the latter is correct, is it true? if so, why is it?

Thanks once again.
God bless.
Cisco.

True. Why would you think that the first is correct?

Good morning and thanks again Mister Micawber.

First of all my native language is Spanish and option number one is how I personally use it in everyday talking.

Second of all, the way I understand "as" is as follows:
a.-Conjunction/connector.
b.-Preposition

As a conjunction is bringing two verbs together, there is a pronoun followed by a verb which tells me that I can use it. Now I am not implying the idea that I will stick to it from here on, but rather to explain to you why I use it. Does it convey the wrong idea or it just downright does not make sense?
Once again I thank you your kidness.

God bless you.
Cisco.

As as a conjunction has limited meanings:

1. To the same degree or quantity that. Often used as a correlative after so or as:The situation is not so bad as you suggest.
2. In the same manner or way that: Think as I think.
3. At the same time that; while: I slipped on the ice as I ran home.
4. For the reason that; because: I went to bed early, as I was exhausted.
5. With the result that: He was so foolish as to lie.
6. Though: Great as the author was, he proved a bad model. Ridiculous as it seems, the tale is true.
7. In accordance with which or with the way in which: The hotel is quite comfortable as such establishments go. The sun is hot, as everyone knows.
8. Informal That: I don't know as I can answer your question.

Only #8 seems to fit your meaning, yet it still sounds odd to my ears. I would expect as if.
