Hi Michael,
Do people in chat room ask you why you type words flawlessly? (I mean with correct spellings and punctuation). Friends on my messenger list often ask me this. I seldom go to public chat room, but when I do, they always, always ask me this.

Hi Nina,
no they didnīt ask me your question, till now :) ! But it seems chatting language -despite near to the English- seems -with all its abbreviations, missing punctuation and special spellings- actually to be a language of its own, doesnīt it?
Apart from that it sometimes seems to be a battle field where lots of Idiots cavort (beside of pleasant people, of course). Imagine there was a person (without defined sex) asking me and others for online sex in private chat rooms. Seemingly, none of the participators joined his/her room. Thus it acted like public masturbating. But this was just a small event beside.
Now, this wasnīt my motivation to ask for your and otherīs opinions. What I want to know is whether a site that provides live chat should moderate a live talk for 24 hours and if it were possible to do so?
On the other hand, good advice from proficient chatters is grately appreciated.
Michael

Well, it is. But people seem to be unable to control this acquired habit when it comes to real writing (and yet they complain all the time).

I think anything is possible when there is a system. The question is, why would they want to provide such a service if it doesn't serve their purpose? It all depends on what the site is all about, I should think.
It's not a bad idea, though. It might attract more members to visit this site more often. |

Hi Nina,
something quite incredible happens at the site Iīm visiting for some days now. They have two chatrooms whereat Room 1 is moderated and it seems quite diffcult to climb up that Olymp i.e. you nearly donīt have a chance to enter there. You must log in but your login wouldnīt be acknowledged! Hm, on the other hand: Room 2. To enter that room you have to type in a name only (no password or something else) and you have immediately enterred there. Well, you can imagine what folks partly scrimmage there. Often enough there also appear people who complain that they were banned from Room 1 and donīt know the matter or that it is boring in Room 1 and so on. You canīt know whatīs true since you havenīt been there, but one thing is for sure: all the complainers do speak (or better write) in an improved manner.
Seriously? I were inquisitive to see what miracle  happens there. Like you said: A moderated chatroom might attract more members to visit it!
See you
