1. I'm busy getting the house redecorated.
2. I'm busy in getting the house redecorated.
3. I'm busy with getting the house redecorated.
Which of the above sentences is acceptable?

1 is the best, and 3 is also correct but less common. 2 sounds like foreigner English to me.

Hi Sitifan,

I agree that 1) is the preferred choice. 'Busy with' is usually used with a noun rather than with a verb as in: I'm busy with my accounts at the moment.
