Let's see this question which is from TOEIC Vacabulary test#W111:

10. conj. but; in spite of; despite

(a) yet
(b) until
(c) however
(d) immediately

The given answer is (a) " yet" but I wonder could answer (c) "however" possibly make do ?

Hello Zishuli,

I would agree with you about "however" also being an acceptable answer.

Definition 4 for the word "however" in the American Heritage Dictionary is this:
- 4. In spite of that; nevertheless; yet

I see you are an editor. That must explain your keen eye for detail.

An experienced editor is usually a faultfinder as well. ^_^
