Hi friends,

There are few words used same for both singular and plural.
Is there any particular rule in English Grammar..for understanding them..?
Below are some examples:

fish
scenery
furniture
sheep
cattle
pants
pliers
scissors

Waiting to know more words from you all.

Thanks for guidance

Your list is mistaken.

fish - This word is the same in singular and plural, except when we say "fishes" to mean different kinds of fish.

sheep - This word is the same in singular as in plural.

scenery, furniture - These two words have no plural. They are not the same in singular and plural; they just have no plural. You cannot say "these scenery" or "these furniture".

cattle - This word has no singular. You can't say "a cattle".

pants, pliers, scissors - These words have no singular. You can't say "a pants", "a pliers", and in most dialects you can't say "a scissors". The singular is "a pair of pants", "a pair of pliers" and "a pair of scissors".

So only two of your eight words are the same in singular as in plural.
