| You are right, Aryam. I still remember the story of a man who came here only to spread AIDS! And the other one in Agadir who recorded his "extracurricular activities", etc. The word 'good' would lose its meaning if it were not balanced by 'bad'. So, you will always find good and bad people wherever you go. Just keep in mind that what you consider to be bad, might not be that bad for others. So we must not make value judgments about things based on our own view of those things. Be open-minded and of course be careful. |
Yup, i do remember this story, exactly in agadir city, and another story of man who filmed girls, Condition to give them a visa, then thye discoved that he used them |
The first story happened in Kenitra, Aryam. I think the man was not arrested because authorities did not find out about him on the right time.
Take care |

| Jordania, keep in mind that life in Saudi Arabia is so restricted that many individual people there have never needed to develop their own moral compass in order to behave properly and stay out of trouble. When they leave the strictness of their own country and get into the free atmosphere of the United States, they lack the ability to make the right moral choices, and some of them really ruin their lives here. And some of them ruin the lives of other people instead. |
I don't think this is necessarily true for Middle Easterners only. Anybody, even an American who travels away from his homeland -- away from his parents, family and friends and the culture or surroundings he was used to, when challenged to make his own decisions or to make choices, free from any influences except the present ones, that is when his true self comes to the surface. People might say it's culture shock, but I think it is just your true color showing.
Of course some, if not many of us holds to a certain religion or faith but that has little to do with the choices we make. Most of the time, I believe, for most of us, those certain ideas or set of beliefs, is only something you learned from a book or from the education and upbringing you received, well at least in the beginning. But when you are actually challenged to live up to those ideas, that is when you know whether you are that person or not by the choices you make. |
