Hello, Ingo! Welcome to the forum.

The only thing I know about Rohstock is that in the 1980s a recording (or maybe the drivers) in the streetcars always said, "Aussteigen, aussteigen, nicht einsteigen. Die Bahn ist zu Ende!" I have never been there, and I've never seen a picture of the city, but I know that.

Hello Jamie

Rostock has developed very effectively, it is a small town around 200000 inhabitants but a beautiful. You should visit rostock, the best time is in the summer.
