Hello everybody,

Could you please help me on following confusion:
Though now I got thrugh with Active & passive.Have a look on my following sentences:
-I wouldn`t like ''to be''in your house.
-I`m glad ''to be'' rid of him.
-I`m glad ''to be''home.
-He is reputed ''to be'' the best surgeon.
-I wanted always ''to be'' friends with him.

My question is in all above sentences ''Agent is avialble'' then why used ''to be''in sentences? & what its (''to be'')means here.

Thanx to all
