:wink: Hi, As I know, the word "hole" also has the meaning of dig a hole into the ground while used as a verb.So can I use it here? |

Yeah I thought that too. But looked at Adv. Learner's Dictionary and found out:
Hole - to make a hole in something, especially a ship or boat
"A torpedo holed the ship below the water and it quickly sank."
Burrow - [ I + adverb or preposition ] to search for something, as if by digging
To sum this up - no you cannot use it in this sentece. |
