Not exactly a grammar question however im hoping someone on here can point me towards the right direction. Any advice or help is greatfully received.

Under times of pressure at work i find that my attention to detail slips dramatically. This at the moment is placing my job at risk and actually becomes a self fulfilling prophecy. The more i try to ensure accuracy, the more I'm creating a problem for myself.

Do i need a psychiatrist, a career coach or a gun? Seriously this is becoming a problem and getting me down. I have some bridges to rebuild and have to work extremely hard at this during 2009 or i will find myself unemployed!

Does anyone have any suggestions of any reading material or any methods i can employ to help me resolve this. I really want to achieve better attention to detail going forwards.

Thanks in advance.

This sounds like a serious problem, so I didn't want to ignore your post. I think you should find out what is causing your accuracy or attention to slip. Are you overloaded, and therefore incapable of paying the kind of attention that the job requires. Is it a language problem? Stress? You should talk to someone you trust and try to find out the "why" of your problem. Without knowing "why" your attention is lost and you make mistakes it will be impossible to remedy the problem. Unfortunately, this website isn't the right place to look for those kind of answers, but I'm sure you can find one where you can chat with someone and find the best solution to your problem. Good luck to you. Much success in 2009. -Belles
