Burn down
Give up
Cross out
Eat in
Eat out
Hear from
Well off

I think that GIVE UP is to surrender... :)

Burn down
to destroy sth by fire
The building was completely burned down

Give up
to surrender
ok, I give up, i've tired with all my maight and i just couldn't done it.

Cross out
you wrote sth down and than you draw a line across it.

I had to cross you out of the list, you didn't pay your admission fee.

Eat in

to have a meal at home

eat out

to have a meal in a restaurant

Hear from
To hear some news about sb

I haven't heard from you for ages!!

Well off
A person who has a lot of money

He's well off, he makes a thousand $ a day
