TOEFL® essay: Some people think that is best for extend families...

Hi everybody! I really would appreciate if some of you correct my first toefl essay. I'll take the TOEFL soon and i think that the writing is the most difficult to me.

Question: Some people think that is best for extend families (including grandparents, aunts and uncles, cousins, etc.) to live together. Other people think that it is best for the nuclear family (parents and children only) to live away from the extend family. Which type of family living arrangement do you think is the most beneficial? Use specific reasons to support your response.

In some cultures it is common for the extend family to live together, while in other cultures is more common for the only nuclear family live together. Nowadays the tendency is the nuclear family live together, but I believe that when the extend family are close, the good points are biggest than the bad points.

One of the good points when the extend family live together is that the family traditions can be passed. The grandfather, for example, can tell for his grandson the history of his family, and show the family tree. When that happens is easier understand the customs of the family and each member can share them.

Another reason is that years after years the world is more complex and the education is a challenge. One example is how difficult is for the parents offer a good education for their children with a little time for does it. Having another member of the family close, they can share the difficult and help each other. And this can be really good for everybody.

So while most of the people believe that is better when only nuclear family live together, I believe that the extend family can be more interesting.
