Hello there.

Is there any difference between "come to know" and "get to know"?

-I came to know my neighbor.
-I got to know my neighbor.

Thanks a lot

Hi,

'Get to know' simply suggests that you begin to learn more and more about someone. 'Come to know' refers to the occasion when you started to get to know someone as in: I came to know her when she started work for the same company I did.
