Dear Friends,

Look at the following:

Similarly to other neo-Gricean conceptions, however, Attardo’s theory has its own drawbacks, too.

I just wonder, whether the "too" in the end is redundancy because of "similarly" in the beginning.

Too - in addition
Similarly - in a like or similar manner

Both have different meanings and therefore 'too' is not redundant here.

One more correction needed in this sentence is the proper use of comma:

Similarly, to other neo-Gricean conceptions, however, Attardo’s theory has its own drawbacks too.

There should be comma after 'similarly' but not before 'too'.
