Hello teachers,

Please help me by the following sentence:

Three of the team have threatened to secede from the league unless at least two umpires are assigned to each game.

? team is correct?

The way the sentence is now, it means that three members of one team are making the threat.

If you mean three whole teams, you need to say "teams".
