Hi Ivan,

Thanks a lot for joining our forum and for sharing your experiences with us. Please note that the noun 'advice is uncountable': Some advice not 'some advices'

Best regards,
Torsten

Hi Torsten

I totally agree with the three things you have mentioned. In order to become a successful English learner it is necessary to have strong will and motivation. You have to be very ambitious and to practise it every day because "Practice makes a man perfect".

Hello everybody! I'm Helen, I live in Russia and I love speaking English. These days it is nasty outside, it is raining cats and dogs so I'm staying at home. What a pity!!!I could have done so many nice things if I hadn't stayed at home. How are you guys? Have you ever been to my country? I love travelling and love those who travel!!! Very Happy

Hi Nancy and everyone,

I've got a little question about "Practice makes a man perfect".

How about saying "Practice makes a person perfect" or "Practice makes people perfect". Does it make any difference between them? Or just "Practice Makes Perfect". I remember my English teacher taught us that it was good to avoid use "man" only for some particular situation actually.

Thanks for any replies.
