Hello Tom, my name is Tatyana. I'm from Kazakhstan (Asia). I'm eager to hear your voice, songs, poems and what else... Unfortunatrly, I can't send my record for your, because I'm at the working place and my boss is strict. But I have an opportunity to enjoy your speaking or singing. I'm looking forward. Thanks.

Looking for a partner to develop my lang... #216 (permalink) Fri Jul 31, 2009 13:07 pm   Looking for a partner to develop my lang...

Hi,

I agree with you. No one can speak English perfect in one overnight.

It can be developed only day by day practice.

I look forward to have someone to develop my language by doing practice every day.

my two cents #225 (permalink) Mon Aug 24, 2009 14:04 pm   my two cents

While i agree with the first two, i disagree with the third one. i don't intend to say that being yourself is a detriment to learning. I only think that it isn't essential. But that is the learner's perspective.

What about the teacher's perspective? I am an Spoken English teacher from a small city in India, where as you know English is not the native language. For non-native speakers, especially if they are 20+ years old, the most important thing is to make english easy to understand and also make sure that they achieve success in the classroom on a regular basis. I have observed that students tend to get turned off if they dont understand or if they dont get enough success in the classroom.

Have a nice day.
