Dear friends,
All your remarks sound optimistic. In one of the letters the author tells us that a winner prefers listening to native speakers. So do I. The problem is that there are very few foreigners in our country. Furthermore, few of them are English or American. Communication via the Internet is not enough for me. |

Thanks Torsen, I could not agree more with you. What you said is very right about if somebody is not willing or able to develop the habit of starting each sentence with a capital letter, how can they ever become “successful” English learners, and who has bad typing habits probably ignore large parts of the employment contract too. Making good habits and doing good first steps is a good thing for everyone wants to get success in every field. Hoa |

Hello everybody,
I am glad to talk to you again. I say "to talk" because when on your forum I feel that people from all over the world are much closer to me than in reality. Unfortunately, I am not at my home place at the moment and I haven't got an opportunity to send you my voice message right now. I hope I'll send it in two or three days. What do I do for improving my speaking skills? First of all, I am a teacher and talk to my schoolchildren every day. But, in fact, it is not sufficient and I am looking for any opportunity to get in contact with native speakers and I really need it. I think this forum is the best chance. But time... How time just flies! I am so busy with preparations for my lessons - writing plans, reading texts and doing other things! I hope I'll manage to organize my time in such a way when I am able to dedicate an hour or two to attending forum lessons. I'll do my best for it. Best regards,

| Hi, Torsten. I'm Thanhtran. I have greatly appreciated your work on the site and about letters sent to me so far. However, as receiving your message dated Oct 30, 2009, I tried entering the links you suggested as "How to speak in the forum" or hearing the message from Inga but I can't, and when I clicked on "Play" or "Loudspeaker" button then I've got only a new blank box with a red cross at left corner and this happend to others. So, what do I have to do ? Many thanks. |

Dear Thanhtran,
Many thanks for your feedback. Can you hear this voice message? If not, please make sure 'Java' is installed and activated in your browser. What browser do you use? Do you know how to check the Java settings in your browser?

Hi Helene, Your spoken English is sweet & cute. But, I found some typing errors aside from other things. Keep up learning in combination of both (i.e. written & spoken). I will reply with my voice sooner than later. Thank you very much.
With Warm Regards Noren Lee NEPAL
My cell no. 9779842025085 Can you give me your contact no. ?
PS: "practice" is both noun & verb in American English, not in the UK one.

Hi,
in my opinion you have to practice the language.
I need English in my job and have a lot of contacts, nativespeekers and non nativespeekers.
When I'm back from holiday I always realise that I've again forgotten a lot, therefore I totaly agree with you, when you tell us, that if we want be successful we have to practice it.
Have a good day!

A little correction from my side.
Hi, In my opinion you have to practice the language.
I need English in my job and have to contact with (or speak to/ with) many of my colleagues (fellow-workers). Some are native-speakers and some non-native (speakers).
When I come back home from the job/ work, I always realize that I've again forgotten a lot, therefore I totally agree with you, when you tell us, that if we want to be successful we have to practice it a lot.
Have a good day! _________________ A person who makes no mistakes does not usually make anything. |

Dear friends, This is the first time I have come to this forum and read others' posts. If I have mistakes, please forgive me and correct them. I find this forum very useful to share my difficulties in learning English. My speaking English is not good. I am not confident and quite shy when speaking English to others. Moreover, I find difficulty in writing English because when writing, I can not remember some of vocabulary and have good ideas for my paper. Please give me your advice. I really thank you much. |
