| hello everyone! the topic of my last recorded voice message was about itdiomatic expressions. as I understood nobody is interested in this subject. Another topic that I am interested in is about the new technologies in teaching a foreign language (but not through the internet). thanks! |

Hi Bouchaib,
It's wonderful to hear from you again! I'm great - thank you for asking. It has gotten colder here in Pennsyvania, but the winter hasn't really arrived. Although, I think my body is made for the warm Florida weather.
To ansswer your question, it sounds to me like you are doing exactly what you need to do. Continue to speak English everyday, at work, at home and anywhere you can. It may be a help to you to read the newspaper or a book, or a magazine out loud. Find something you enjoy reading. It really comes down to just practicing and developing your skills.
I listened to your message and I could understand every word you said. I don't think you sound bad at all.
Take care,
Tom |

Hey Tom,
This is Joseph of the Philippines, I really wanted to have constant conversation with native english speakers like you because I want to improve my spoken english more particularly on pronunciation and accent. I have trouble with my "SCHWA" and vowel sounds, I'm pretty well sure that you're quite familiar with those terms so I wonder if you could help me improve. I'm already working on getting a new headset which I used to have but have to be replaced because it's not working properly. You might wonder why I don't have much participation here as much as I wanted to, It's actually because I'm really very busy like everyone else with work. But as Torsten said on the email, it's just a matter of time management which is why I'll be around here most often this coming days.
Thank you so much for your time and I'm really excited to talk to you as often as your schedule allows if it's possible.
Please comment on my written english since I don't have yet record messages. I really like being corrected so I would learn.
Thanks a lot!
JOSEPH |

| Hi Tanya! Sorry for the delayed answer. I think that you are very modest when saying that your English is upper intermmediate, taking into acount the fact that you have studied in the US. Even though, I think that we have what to learn from each others. Next time I will record my messages. I hope we will keep commmunicating, because this is a great opportunity for all of us and we must take advantages of it. Hope to hear from you soon! Bye! |

Tatiana ,
Thanksgiving Day is a traditionally , It means that It's time o give thanks for the harvests and express gratitude in general. It's a holiday and it's religious in origin. Now this holiday is identified as a secular holiday. I learned in The United States about Thanksgiving Day, because I 'm from Cuba . In my country doesn't celebrate this holiday. Thank you Have a nice day Tanieska |

Thank you for this information. may I ask you why don;t you record your voice? I think it is very important if you want to learn English. Still I think that your English is very good. As you have asked me to correct your mistakes, the last sentence is not correct. You better say ( My country doesn't celebrate this holiday), either (in my country this holiday is not celebrated). Good luck! |
