It seems that there are no new information or tricks in this article. But it gives me a high level overview of my studying process and ideas for improving.
Thank you.

Dear Torsten,
You are right, if anyone wants to learn English, heshe must learn first the rules of simple writing(e.g:capitalization, spelling and the most important thing is the patterns of making a structural sentences),but also in my opinion they must learn the alphabets small and capital-I mean how every letter of English is written (small & capital ).Moreover, the grammar mustn't be forgotten, and I agree with you to the end that some people take the easy way in writing to make for example the sound of some words:( 4=for or u= you...etc) this will probably lead them to make a lot of mistakes.
Thank you Torsten for your honesty in teaching us every small part of this process.

Dear Torsten,

As far as i'm concerned, there are some points that we need to take into account to be a successful english learner, such as eagerness or willingness to improve our english, keep ourself dicipline to learn english (it's sometimes difficult), and last but not least is practicing our english!

But Torsten, honestly i have problem in improving my english...
i feel i need to practice more, but i have no partner to practice.
for me, it seems nice to have a partner whom i can talk and share things over with, Torsten.

i'm still learning english regularly now,
such as updating or enriching myself with some new english materials, or brushing up on my previous materials. But for practice, i have no idea what to do...
that's explaining why i,m joining this forum.

So what am i supposed to do now??

Regards,

Nomu

Hi Nomu,

Thanks a lot for your sharing your ideas with us. I suggest you start capitalizing the words 'English' and 'I' and read this: http://www.english-test.net/esl/lesson-plans/English_for_winners.html

Hello Torsten, Tom and Folks,

Actually, I start reading this post from the early beginning until the end of this page. However, I found so many interesting points of views from so many users of the forum over here.

Personally, I like the discussion between Torsten and an Indian user 'sorry I forget the name' when they discuss the atmosphere of English learning in a different context and to what extend that might affect the whole process of English learning.
And to what extend the English learners should be able to understand the ongoing situation and the factors that surround their immediate needs. And how the learners should respond effectively and efficiently.

To me, the experience of learning through internet is the most interesting and funny thing I had in my life. It’s so hard to overcome your inner-voice when it tells you to move and stop working in this forum as to do another hobby ‘Self control’.

The main issue is how to make learning English one of your best hobbies, simply because when you do things that you like it, you will do it much better.

For the man who have the nice voice, Tom:

Your voice and accent inspire me to be more fluent just like you. I like so much the way you pronounce English, and no doubt that I do love the American accent.

I promise you that as soon as I can I'll post my recording to you Tom, for you're kind comments and suggestions.

Thank you!

Hi Torsten!
That would be very grateful to you if you could mail me the related audio files because it is not possible to listen or download the audio files via links,in my university hostel. It is banned here.

And I need one more favor from you Mr. Torsten. Is it possible to mail me the name of those words which are almost similar in pronunciation like
Ideal Idol Idle

So that I can differentiate them by listening pronunciation carefully.

Thank You.
