Hi Inga, you are absolutely true, I just have similar experience with you, It is really hard to find out native speaker and talk to them. Anyway, keep practising and sharing your voice would build up your confidence!

Oh my gosh... how many posts and audio messages here already... I even don't know what to say :)
That idea about posting audio replies is really great! I think that we become closer to each other, now we can hear each other's voice even in the distance. Often, when we look at the picture of a person we don't know, we wonder what his or her voice is like, right? Now we were given that opportunity on English-test net. I wish you all success and improvement of your speaking skills!

Best wishes,

Maryann

I'll definitely do this tomorrow, Tom! I've heard your voice mails here and I was sure you were an American. May I know what's your purpose here?

Regards,

Maryann :)

Hi,everyone! First of all I want to tell that I am so happy I have a "brand new" driving license.I've been so busy that I "neglected" you so I have a lot to catch up.I agree with you that talking to native speekers is the easiest way to learn English or other foreign language. So, I followed your advise and I wrote you to practise my English.

Hey, Alinutza! First of all congratulations to your getting a driving license, I hope you've got a proper vehicle to use it :)
So, the thing you really need to catch up with is to post your voice recording here for all of us to here you speak, ok?

Go on then and good-luck!

Maryann

P.S. Why does the record change its quality after it had been posted here? :?

I have understood that for some technical reason, our actual recordings are being converted to some mp3 format after a certain time..
This has to be better explained by the admin team to members in their FAQ..or somewhere..

Yeah, it's not very pleasant, Sahid. Does anybody know how to fix this problem? I'd really like my voice to sound more clear than it does here :?

Dear admin! Please, be so kind to improve that audio recording feature!!!

Hey Maryann,

How are you? I heard your recorded post and I think you sound great.

To answer your question about my purpose here on the forum - well, I actually record some of the TOEIC tests for English-test.net. I am actually an author and I do voice-over work here in the United States for companies. I have been working with Torsten since December and he felt I may be of some help to all the folks on the forum.

So, if I can help you or anyone else, please let me know. I look forward to hearing from you.

Thanks Maryann!

H, Tom! First of all I'd like to thank you for rating me so high (I mean your words about my sounding great) - very and very pleasant to hear it from a native speaker, even though the record is of quite a bad quality.

Hi Maryann,

Hey...thanks for the quick response. I appreciate it.

One way to improve your English is to talk about something that comes easy to you. For example...maybe you can tell me about yourself? Maybe you could talk about where you live. Another idea is, talking about your hobbies - like what do you enjoy doing or what did you do this past weekend?

To give you an idea, I live in Pennsylvania. It's rather cold today...too cold my me anyway. I really perfer warm or hot weather.

Let me know what you think.

Bye now...

Tom

Hi every body,

I am recording this voice from Germany. Tom and Tosten, thank you very much for all the things that you have done for us. Tom, I really like the way that you are encouraging us to speak out more and more. Here, in Germany it is very cold and snowing days. As you see, I am a North East Asian, I have no experience in such snow and cold weather, but I like it very much. Does anyone know how to ski, I am really afraid if my leg will be broken once more!

Regards

Hi Hung,

Hey, thanks for your message! To be honest, the paragraph you wrote is very, very good. There are just a of couple minor mistakes. But there is nothing to be overly worried about.

What I will do for you is re-write your paragraph and put it in another post. This way you'll be able to see where the errors are located.

Just keep writing and speaking Hung. You're doing very well.

More soon...

Tom
