Hi,

I took a taxi to work.
I took a bus to work.

The sentences above are okay to me. But, how about putting 'a subway'? in the position of 'a taxi' and 'a bus'?
Do we need to put 'a' before 'subway'? Actually, I've never heard of 'subways'... I'm curious.

Thanks,
sweetpumpkin

p.s. By the way, if just 'subway' is possible for that position, how about taxi or bus?
In other words:

I took taxi to work.
I took bus to work.

Are the sentences above possible?

Thanks again,
sweetpumpkin again
