Hi,

Worth is value - cost is price. The sentence should be: WHAT DOES IT COST?

Hi,

'Cost' refers to what has to be paid both literally and figuratively as in: Before buying a house, you have to consider the cost involved. You also have to take into consideration the cost you have to pay in terms of worry and responsibility. Although 'price' can have a figurative meaning too, it usually refers to the actual sum of money you pay.

Why can't we use price for that sentence sir? I mean the price of buying the house.
