Hello Silas,
I pronounce the word "puma" as puma. A puma is a large cat - or here in the States they are also sneakers.
I hope that helps.
Take care,
Tom |

Hello Sami,
Thanks so much for your message. I was able to understand everything you said. I must tell you I'm very impressed that you taught yourself English.
It appears to me that you are rather advanced, especially considering that you had no formal teachers. Regarding British or American English, please keep in mind, it's all English. Don't get too hung up on the slight differences between British and American English. Just continue to do what you're doing.
So, tell us a little more about yourself. Tell me again where you're from and why you are learning English.
Thanks, Sami.

Hi Tom, I can't describe my happiness when I was hearing you Mr Kane, I really appreciate your Message and your support, By the way It's the first time I'm in touch with a native speaker of English, so you are special to me Tom, I hope to keep in touch with you because I like your Accent and I've faith that you can help me in a lot of things in English, So I'm really appreciated and I'm honored if you'd be my Teacher. About me, Well as I said my name is Sami, I'm 28 years-old and I work as accountant, or Auditor! I'm not sure what is used in the US!! Well, I got a lot of hobbies, I like Computing and internet, Editing photos, and writing Love Poems in English. I'm from Algeria, If you don't know it, lacated in north Africa, It's an arab country, Arabic is the official language and then French, and unfortunately English is the third language, that's why most of Algerian people can't speak English well!! About your question, I chose to learn English because It's language of the world and internet so I can communicate with people all over the world. this is it, Mr. Kane, so what about you?? I can guess that you are American through your Accent. So I'd like to tell me more about you too!! Thank's Tom. Take care! BYE!! |

Hello Mr.Kane, I just want to say that you are doing really great job! I mean your voice messages are very useful for English learners ! Especially it is very useful for me, because I want to study TOEFL in the USA, and one of my week side is speaking part, so I really work hard to improve it. And due to your voice messages I and many other English learners through out the world can improve their speaking English. Thank you again and have a nice day! |
