Hello,
I didn't get the meaning of last four sentences -
"So does love. It goes and comes, And as it washes out, It washes away other things– Things that might-have-been." Morath was here.
What do you mean by this? _________________ First lesson - English, not english. I, not i. ~A student of English |

Is this incomplete? Or the poet kept it incomplete deliberately? _________________ First lesson - English, not english. I, not i. ~A student of English |

Gray,
The meaning of those sentences is about love being like the waves on the beach. It isn't always there, and it doesn't always stay, but it happens. Like the waves, it washes away other things - maybe hurt from other relationships or stress about your life - and makes you happy again.
The phrase "things that might-have-been" seems a bit confusing, probably. This is because "been" is not an auxiliary here, but the main verb. It's a poetic way of saying "the things that could have existed." Does that work for you? |

Love is life. Without it we are nothing. Whether it is the love of a child for it's parent, or the full blown love of adults.
Love is all things to those who have it in their hearts, food, shelter, protection against the storms of life.
It should be treasured against all other things, and only truly shared with those who have it also. Never waste love. Never turn away from it, for without it you will become a lost soul, forever bewailing your loss.

Love is when every time I get angry at my 3-year-old niece and I feel like apologizing to her when I see her sleeping face.
It's complicated. |

Love is Evol backwards.
Well -- don't laugh, biatches:
Love is getting home to find your dog at the door, standing on her hind legs, scratching the door with her arms (forelegs) and smiling/yelping at you, happy as heck to see you and demanding your presence. That is love.
That's why we say that the dog is man's best friend. Nobody is happier to see you -- my little Molly lifts my spirits even after an especially crappy day at work. The sky could be falling but I'd still have a warm heart entering my door to meet my little fur-covered darling. _________________ Billie Jean is not my lover. Hee. |

Good morning Prezbucky, your best post to date. I agree with you 100%. My little mutt is more important to me than I care to admit.
Take care. Kitosdad. _________________ Englishman living in Germany. |

Thanks, homes.
Dear Academy, I'd like to thank my family and my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for this honor. And everyone else, you know who you are.
