Do we have to record just that text for make it possible for others to say if we speak a good English or not? Why not just record someting about ourselves in English. It will be more natural than reading a text. I am very bad at reading English out loud. I am much better at speaking English. I hate reading English aloud.

Hi Amr,

Before we can give you any advice or information on your pronunciation or accent you need to record the text as I have explained.

Writing about problems with your pronunciation is one thing. Recording voice message and improving your speaking skills is another.

Best regards,
Torsten

Hi MariaEbb

I liked the idea of recording our voice because in that way it is easier to start using "Record voice message". If you want to speak without reading anything, there is not problem. Just do it!

No, it's not easy. Many people can say that this is the easiest language to learn. Learn english is a process. Normal you take more than two years to speak fluently. First you have to understand the grammar, than vocabulary, the most difficult part speaking and finally listening. You have to save the words, the verbs, most of them have many meanings. So, I'm not saying that learn english is extremly difficult. To speak english you have to work hard.

Hello everyone,

There are millions of people around the world who want to improve their English speaking skills. However, only a few of them know how to achieve that goal.

Speaking English requires a lot of practice and constant work. It's similar to do doing a sport: Only if you practise it on a regular basis, can you get good at it. That's why we'd like to invite you to record online voice messages together with us here on the forum. Read this text out loud and record your own voice.

Post your recording on the forum so you can get feedback on your pronunciation, intonation and accent. We can even hold contests to nominate the best speaker or to guess the nationality of the reader.

When you are reading and recording this text, you have already overcome the fear of speaking English, which so many of us experience. Isn't that a great feeling? It's the start of your new life as an English speaker!

This is fun and interesting which I could suggest other people to practice their English here with English-test.net

For me it took more than two years before i could speak English fluently. It was not before I started Alvik a school for hard of hearing people in my 8 th class I dared to speak English. I started to read English in the 3rd class. Do hearing people learn English in just 2 or 3 years? I don't think so. Maybe it takes 5 years for them.

I have changed idea! To speak english fluently in short period of time depends of your commitment. You need to have a good teacher, you must be motivated and study intensively. These conditions are very important to have a success on english language and I belive that you can be able to speak in less the two years.

Hi,

This is an excellent piece of reading. Thank you for letting everyone hear you. The main point is that you are easily and readily understood.
