Dear Umaparvathy,

Many thanks for joining our forum. If you want to improve your English, you need to change your habits. Based on my experience only about 1% of all English learners are capable of changing their learning habits. Do you belong to this group or do you fall into the 99% category?

Well, if you really want to improve your English you need to change some of your habits. For example, you should develop the habit of following very basic rules. It seems you not aware of those rules. So you might want to say the following to yourself: "From now on I want to change my habits and follow the most basic rules of the English language".

Please tell me if and when you are ready for this and I'll tell you what to do next.

Many thanks,
Torsten

Hi Torsten,

Thanks for your e-mail.

My name is Anni. I'm from Brazil, but I've been living in Holland since may 2004. I'm new here and I have already taken your first lesson. That was great, because I've answered 9/10 questions correctly. I have to improve my English because I would like to attend a bachelor's English course at Holland's university. Can I count on you to help me? Smile

Many thanks in advance.

Dear Torsten,
Thank you very much for the first lesson.
My name is Evgeny, I'm Russian, more than 50 years old, and it looks like I have found what I needed regarding learning English: I like the style of your communication and the idea itself as well as the teaching aproach on the site. But for me the site contains too much information - I mean I have not large experience in surfing I-net, and several times I lost myself in the site. But I'll be trying.
I passed the first test with three mistakes, then I made a correction with the help of the site. Listening to Mrs. Darville from Bristol, England (Introduction), was also very helpful and interesting. I did not understand everything from the record so that I had to read the text. Auditing and grammar are my main problems. I would very much appreciate your further help, assistance and support.
Sorry for a long post - I just wanted to show you that I respect very much what you do for such newcomers and English learners as I am. Thank you very much!
Your student,
Evgeny
