Dear Mr. Torsten Daerr,

Subject: The Internet shop was having a power failure.

I have just completed another six free interactive English tests this afternoon. They were selected from the Elementary level, and they were more than what you had recommended—at least three tests a day. I did the extra tests for the simple reason that I could not take at least three tests on October 18, 2009 because the Internet shop was having a power failure on that particular day.

Fortunately, this afternoon, the shop managed to rectify the problem. Therefore, I would like to apologize for the unforeseen circumstances, and thank you for your patience.

Best wishes,

Bhikkhu1991a.

Good morning Claudia from Rio de Janiero. Welcome to the Forum, especially the speaking and recording section.

The problems that you have seem to be only minor ones.
It is a great pity that you don't have anybody to whom you could speak on a daily basis. Perhaps if you were to team-up with another speaker, then you could post your conversations as frequently as you both wished.

I'm sure that all of the volunteers would love to have the time to speak to individuals, but unfortunately that just isn't possible in the real world I'm sorry to say, however, you talk pretty good and you will develop greatly with regular conversations with another person.

Keep on talking, to yourself if need be, and perhaps singing English songs will be of some help to you.

Keep on posting and recording. We will help you along the way.

Regards, Kitos.

Hi Claudia,

Please do not be so hard on yourself. You're doing a great job with English, and I think you're coming along very well.

Continue writing your messages and posting a recorded message. The more you do that, the more comfortable you will feel. As far as saying something wrong - well, all of us say things that are wrong, even those of us who speak English and live in the States. So, don't worry about any mistakes.

Write back!

Tom
