Hi Lokesh,

Thank you for recording your first voice message. I can hear you loud and clear. Now I also know how to pronounce your name: Lokesh. What does your name mean in English?

Talk to you soon,
Torsten

Everytime when I try opening the recorder the small dialogue box that opens shows "error:click for details" instead of controls.
I am using latest java applet and firefox and IE gives no problem in doing this job but chrome does.

ListenUp Error #8 (permalink) Wed Feb 04, 2009 19:16 pm   ListenUp Error

This error message means that Java cannot find the ListenUp software.
Note that Chrome is a new browser and still has a few bugs.

This forum discusses a problem with Chrome and Java. I think it is the same problem.

"Hello... just found the solution. The Proxy setting wasn't set up in the Java options. It's odd that that doesn't affect other browsers, but once I had set it up it went STRAIGHT AWAY!"

START -> Control Panel -> Java -> Network Settings -> Set up proxy info here.

Please let us know if this fixes the problem or not.

Hi All,

I was facing some issues while playing the audio recordings on the forums. I use the Mozilla Firefox browser. I just updated my Flash Player plugin to the latest version. Whew! That solved the problem :)

Hope it would be helpful to you - Get Flash Player.

Hello Torsten Daerr,
Yes, you are right. I did start learning English from you. I have improved a lot by now (from others as well) and answering the questions posted by the new members, guests etc.
I totally agree with you on this "The forum is our online learning platform, .......... the forum is like a 'virtual classroom' and I'm one of your teachers and you want me to teach you English." Once again, I'm very much grateful to you and your counterparts. Frankly speaking, you are still my teacher. I owe you a lot, I really am or rather will be forever in your debt.
Who knows, I might be a teacher in the course of time, and help the students improve their English. I think I can help you to make your job much easier. (please correct me if I am going beyond the limit)

Regarding the picture, there is no problem for me. If you want me, I can help the new members, the beginners, or the novices. You can see my a-one-year-old photo under the column "Author".

Talking about the grammar tests, I can complete more than three tests everyday. But, it's quite obvious to you that there is a hindrance for me because of the load shedding, power outage for 16 hours everyday here in my country. Do you believe it? Because of this, I hardly get access to the Internet. Doesn't this sound horrible? I think I have told you about this in my first voice-recorded message. A one new thing is: I am going to make the second recording sooner than later. My first recording was a fiasco, really. Lokesh's and your feedbacks are very helpful to me. Many thanks to you all for this.

With My Best Regards,
Noren,
(now in NEPAL)

PS: I am very much glad to know that you have added a new feature on this forum. I clicked on the sample, it's great! And, I am looking forward to have a little star in front of my name too.

As I know Slava (one of co-founders) is IT- specialist, maybe he can help me in my trouble? I can not post my voice message, I've installed JAVA but it does not seem to be working and I don't know reason why.

I'd be kindly appreciated If you help me to fix it.

P.S. Maybe this message should be written in another place. If it is, I will transfer it to appropriate place.
Many thanks
