meaning of "take a sleep" #1 (permalink) Tue Feb 03, 2009 8:18 am   meaning of "take a sleep"

Hey,

I took a sleep late last night.

What's the meaning of this sentence? I think it means "I slept for a short time late last night." For me, "take a sleep" sounds like "take a nap"- I mean, sleep for a while, not long.

By the way, one more question:
I stayed up late last night means "I was awake until late last night, but I slept anyway.". Am I right?

Thanks,
sweetpumpkin
