. They are both about past actions, Sajjad. 'Did' is affirmative and interrogative and 'didn't' is negative and interrogative:
Did you go to school yesterday? No, I didn't. Yes, I did. . _________________ Native English teacher at Mister Micawber's |

. Present perfect: for recent past events or events somehow connected to the present:
I/you/we/they have been-- affirmative He, she, it has been-- affirmative I/you/we/they haven't been-- negative He, she, it hasn't been-- negative
Past perfect: for a past event that precedes another past event:
I/you/we/they/he/she/it had been-- affirmative I/you/we/they/he/she/it hadn't been-- negative . _________________ Native English teacher at Mister Micawber's |
