Hi Torsten,
I would definitely go for the contracted form although I have heard people give it the full monty - but that's overdoing it!

I've seen this word discussed elsewhere among native speakers and a third option seems to be very common (it's my pronunciation as well), and that is one in which the d is pronounced, but the d and n are transposed resulting in 'wendzday'. _________________ There's no such thing as an exception to the rule...

Oh well, Torsten , just to be different .. I pronounce it Wedn*i*sday with a very weak ' i ' in the middle syllable. But then I'm Scottish :-))
By the way, is it possible to test a message on the voice-recorder before launching it onto the Forums ? HH. |
