Hi Lamine

Listening is sometimes a neglected skill, as so much focus is on speaking. However a good communicator responds to the speaker, therefore needs good listening skills to be empathetic.

You are really the only one who can resolve your problem with hard work. Design a good self learning program mixing active and passive listening.
The first to understand, the second as background sound, like listening to BBC radio while making breakfast. You really need to listen to many different and varied accents. You can do that here, at kantalk and the International Dialects of English Archive.

Also consider investing in itunes or juice to download podcasts from the BBC or any other provider.

As for recording the message, you need the right software. Check the link provided by Torsten for tips.

Good luck!

Hey Mr Torsten!

I tried to record a text when I was doing a speaking, pronunciation and accent training's exercise but I couldn't. What is the problem?

I have been living in USA for 5 years. I have improved my writing and reading engilsh, but i am still very weak in my speaking and listening. I work with all engilsh speakers but I don't dare to speak with them unless it is business. One reasons is that they don't understand when I tlaked so that I have to repeat myself agian which is very frustrating and the second one is I am shy.
