I wish we could have one language for all mankind so that we can all become one.
Maybe ENGLISH or CHINESE or ...??

Thank you Tor..for this innovative suggestion..

It is a good proposal to use one single language for the whole world to communicate one another.

But I think we have to turn our face towards the numerals more than alphabets in the near future because we have already started using numerals more in our daily life such as identifications, transactions, communications etc., Preactically, we are now being identified by our employee numbers, roll mubers, subscription numbers, mobile phone numbers than our real names.

Numbers are, in my opinion, easily recognizable to every one more than any of the alphabets.

Thanks Sahid.., that's very interesting but everytime I saw numeral I always think of a robot (like R2D2 in Star Wars)

The truth is now I'm studying a Buddhist Meditation therefore if we can create one language (maybe religion and currency are too much) it'll be much more easier to understand and communicate each other. Do you think this is crazy?? Anyway, it's just a wish.

Thanks and hello Mouhcine.., that's why I used the word "wish". Wish may or may not come true. Who knows!! Maybe "our" GOD and as I said it's just a WISH.

I'm a positive thinker so anything can happen and again that's why I left three dots
and two question marks for you or perhaps I'm insane.

Have a nice day and take good care

Hello,

Read The Tower of Babel. It is a very interesting story. It has to do with your wish.

Take care,

hi tor,
you know the wonderful thing in learning languages is that you learn community's habits and norms. It's a way to be Cultured, to learn more about other people who's live far away from your country. So, I don't prefer the whole world to have one language tor (^_^).

nice topic.

I am sure you would mind if I call you Sahid59 :) Words and numbers, though essential for us to live, are not substitutes for each other.

Having one common language doesn't make people "one", and it doesn't even prevent war or conflict, as the people of Kuwait can certainly tell you, or those of any country that has been invaded by a neighbor speaking the same language. And don't forget the civil wars where both sides spoke the same language, such as the one in the US.

Also, if a natural language is chosen, the native speakers have dominance, so that doesn't really work.

The whole thing has been tried, and there are still people trying. Their language is Esperanto.
