Usage of 'grow' (Growing kids can prove to be a tough job for working women.)

Can someone please tell me if the following sentence is OK?

1) Growing kids can prove to be a tough job for working women.

Hi Daemon,

It has two meanings for me - 'growing kids' could be used in an ironic or amusing way to mean 'bringing up' or you could say that 'growing' is used as an adjective suggesting that kids who are growing up (getting older) can be difficult.

Which one do you mean?

I meant it in the sense of 'bringing up', Alan. I think raising kids is more natural in that sense, isn't it?
