Kindly help me in checking Grammatical errors in this article.

In the attempt of gather information and writings about great personalities, there are many instances of difficulties and protracted birth pangs that were destined to be a great person. That can be said when we study about the life and works of Fr Vendrame.

When the ‘process’ was opened in 2006 many of the confreres and people felt that is it the right time to do so. It is at this time that people have started to realize the hard work and especially his sanctity put up by this priest on his missionary works in the Khasi and Jaintia Hills. Many old people who have met Father Vendrame during their childhood days cannot help but to reminisce the sweet old memories and experiences that they had with this marvelous priest.

Thanks
Gerald

Does not make any sense: instances of difficulties and protracted birth pangs cannot be destined to become a person. But a person sometimes has to go through difficulties in order to become great.

Are conferers not people? In this case who are they?

Does not make much sense.
Try writing shorter sentences. Make sure that each one has a subject and a verb. It will help you focus your writing.
