Hi,
This is the first time for me to write here..
I really like this forum . It is a precious moment to know it.

My question is:
What occupation are you?
IS this structure correct? Actually I feel it is wrong but my co-worker insists that it is right .Please tell me am I right or not?!!

What occupation are you? is not correct, you are a person not an occupation.
What is your occupation? is better
