get out - what does it mean? #1 (permalink) Thu Feb 12, 2009 17:14 pm   get out - what does it mean?

Hi all,
I know the definition of phrasal "get out", but in this context I feel very confused:
"Come on, people; we haven't got all day. It'll be time to get out again before you set foot in the water."
Can you help me to explain the meaning of these sentences. Thanks a lot.

This sentence is impossible to understand (much less explain) without context.

con·text n.
1. The part of a text or statement that surrounds a particular word or passage and determines its meaning.

2. The circumstances in which an event occurs; a setting.

I think the speaker means that by the time the people get into the pool, it will be time for them to leave.

I agree: "It'll be time to get out [of the water] again before you set foot in the water."
