You do not use future tense after if or when.
I do not have time to look for a reference now, but I might find it later.

Hello Penuel,
I'd say the word "if" is used to mean "whether" in your sentence, and therefore it is not actually a conditional sentence:
- I want to know whether I will get a new job.
In other words, the sentence means "I want to know this: Will I get a new job or not?"

Hi Penuel,
The question is what you would use instead of 'will get' in that last sentence. It suggests 'if I am going to get a new job'.

I want to know, will I get a new job or not?
