Hey, 3ayesh. In my opinion the author of this quote, mentioned above, meant that inspite all of the sufferings and evil of the world there existed a hope, human's still will and great desire to overcome it.
Became blind and deaf at an early age as a result of a brain fever, Helen Keller overcame her disability to help fight for others in a similar situation, and for workers rights.

I hope now the meaning of her words became clear to you.
It's sometimes amazing to realize that peopele of physical disabilities can be so strong and wise, never losing their hope and encouraging others...

Even so, I believe the author has omitted "is" as in "it is also ...".
The act of overcoming suffering means not letting yourself be defeated by suffering but surviving it and possibly even becoming stronger by it.

Here is a similar quote. Check this out.
When the going gets tough, the tough gets going.
How is it related to the above mentioned one?

Please correct my mistakes in this message.
Thanks in advance.

Yes, the "official" expression appears to be with "get", although "gets" would be grammatically possible, too.
